Exhibitor Information:
The 2011 Western Pennsylvania Funeral Directors’ Convention will be held from June 20th – June 23rd, at the Bel-Aire Clarion Hotel in Erie, PA. Exhibit displays will be open on the 21st and 22nd from noon to 4 pm both days. Please note this is an hour longer than what was previously mentioned in the letter you received in January. Set up will be on Monday from 10 am to 4 pm and Tuesday from 9:30 am to 11 am. Please have your application in by March 7, 2011 in order to reserve your spot from last year. If you haven’t paid for your booth already, we have added an online payment feature this year for your convenience. We do have a waiting list for booth space, so please be sure to meet the deadline. Last year we introduced a Chinese auction to raise funds for a PIMS scholarship, and asked you to help with donated “gift baskets” for the auction. This was very successful, and because of your generous support, we are doing the same thing this year, with a few, minor improvements. We are asking each vendor to bring a “gift basket” with a retail value between $100-$200. They can contain any items, such as electronics, sports items, kids items, wine packages, etc. Use your imagination! You may display your basket at your booth all day Tuesday, and the auction will take place at the close of the exhibit hall in the pool/outside area, during which there will be a cocktail reception and a steel drum band playing before and after the auction. Auction tickets will be sold at the front desk all day Tuesday, and tickets can be placed in baskets throughout the exhibits, and when the exhibit hall closes at 4pm, we will move all baskets out to the pool area and allow ample time for more ticket purchasing and “browsing”. We encourage you to stick around for the fun, and to be recognized when your basket is awarded to the winner. A bonus for exhibitors this year….we have arranged a private tour of the Erie Zoo on Monday evening. The zoo will be closed to the public for this event and transportation will be provided to and from the hotel. This is free (Courtesy of Loyal Christian Benefit Association) for all registrants and registered family members. A great event for adults and kids alike! If you have further questions, please contact: WPFDA President, Stephen A. Williams, CFSP Please contact Display Committee Chairperson, Rob Schellhaas before making payment, unless you’ve already pre-registered and your spot is secure. |
